Part-Time Youth/Christian Education Minister (10 hours/week)
The Part-Time Youth/Christian Education Minister is
responsible for overseeing the programs for children and youth at Bridgewater
United Methodist Church (BUMC), as defined below:
Responsibilities: ·
Coordinate annual Vacation Bible School,
including identifying the curriculum, finding and scheduling volunteers (may
include a director), and marketing/outreach
·
Supervise Christian Education program, including
identifying the curriculum, recruiting and supporting teachers, visiting
classes occasionally
·
Work with Staff-Parish Relations Committee
(SPRC) to train volunteers and implement Safe Sanctuaries policy
·
Creating and enhancing age-appropriate programs
and opportunities for engagement and faith development for children/youth,
including engaging them in mission projects and trips, and other programs to
help implement BUMC’s Vision Plan;
·
Reaching out into the community to attract
children and youth into the church to build a strong, viable children and youth
ministry; and
·
Participate in most Sunday services.

This position will be responsible to the Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) and the
Pastor. Applicants must be able to pass a CORI and meet BUMC’s Safe Sanctuaries
Policy guidelines.
